Imaginarium: Parents
"Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates, so that your days and the days of your children may be many in the land the Lord swore to give your ancestors, as many as the days that the heavens are above the earth."
DEUT. 11:18-21
We are partnering with Grant County congregations, parents, and caregivers to discover meaningful practices of faith that are embedded in everyday life and rooted in racial harmony. Through special events, resources, and opportunities for connection and education, we hope to see parents and caregivers develop an empowering conviction that faith formation is likely to occur within their care.

While there are many daily activities where we could focus our attention, we are using Deuteronomy 11 as our guide and focusing on the spaces and times when we are talking with our children at home, on the road, going to bed, and getting up.

Event Highlight:
"When You Sleep" Parenting Workshop
In April 2024, we were thrilled to host a special event for over 50 Grant County pastors and parents (and their kids) at Indiana Wesleyan University. We gathered together to discuss opportunities for spiritual formation within the home, and specifically at bedtime.Throughout the evening, we enjoyed a meaningful time filled with food, worship, testimonies, shared wisdom, resources, and conversation.
We hope to offer more events in the future... stay tuned!
